My buddy just purchased 09 fzr, needs a prop . Which one though?

Did some searching seems like Concorde is the way to go just not sure what pitch for a bone stock ski he might do some mods in the future . right now he just wants to throw something in there as it is cavitating really really bad. What prop do you guys recommend that will give him slightly more performance , we do a lot of riding on the Connecticut River so it's usually pretty flat will probably do an intake grate soon too. He wants a decent hole shot and good top end. If possible

For a stock ski, I recommend a stock prop. You can find them here in the classifieds pretty cheap, usually $50 or so. Even if your friend goes with an intake grate, the stock prop is still a great choice. An aftermarket prop would best suit a modified ski.

If it's got bad cavitation you should check the impeller housing to make sure it's not banged up too and the pump veins to make sure the cavitation hasn't chewed them up. If it were me, I'd do the intake, free exhaust mod and the ribbon delete and throw a Skat 13/20ish on there and call it good to go.

skat prop and either a tbm or a lucky 13 cone to help eliminate cavitation.

TBM or a Lucky 13 cone on a stock ski? Wouldn't it just be easier to get the right prop to eliminate the cavitation issue? Seems like the TBM/ Lucky 13 cone are most effective on modified skis, not a stock ski. A stock ski shouldn't have any (or extremely minimal) cavitation to begin with.

so he jumped the gun before i could get him the info you guys gave me, he bought a riva 14/21. whats your guys thoughts?

i did not get a chance to look at his pump, but seemed like anytime he would give it WOT it would start bouncing on rev limiter, and would have to play with the throttle to keep of limiter. .

my understanding is that they have a SS wear ring correct?
