    Need 2010 RXT-X help

Recently bought an RXT-X 260, the top speed is only 60mph at 8k rpm. Why is it so slow? Shouldn't it do 68-69? Thanks in advance, new to the forum!

We need a lot more information to help you. Pure stock ski? What mods if any? Stock air intake? How many hours on ski? Supercharger(SC) rebuilt, if so when and who did the work?

Most likely, impeller and or wear ring worn beyond limits. Possibly SC slip is too low.

Give us the facts for a better diagnosis.

Bone stock, 69 hours on it. Nothing has been touched to the best of my knowledge. I've never understood impeller pitches, what one should I get? I want at least 70 out of it.

Ok, you will not see higher than 68-70 due to the stock ECU limit, 8040 rpm, torque, GPS, and boost limiters. The only way to bypass them is with an ECU re-flash or replacement.

Your issue needs to be fixed FIRST. As we have already said, the obvious has to be checked: intake grate, impeller, and wear ring clearances all thoroughly checked. The most likely culprit is going to be the supercharger slip is too low. You are getting close to the 100 hour SC re-build time and should be accomplished soon.

    Read this thread: http://www.greenhulk.net/forums/showthread.php?t=191532

Get a shop manual at www.brpmanuals.com

Remove the SC, buy the rebuild kit and send the SC to Jerry for rebuild. Read the sticky at the top of the page about this.

Right out of the Shop Manual. Get it. You can't work on these ski's without the proper tools and this is #1.

What is the correct pitch/model impeller for a ski like mine?

Your SC slip needs to be checked ASAP, a full rebuild is most likely required soon. Do NOT procrastinate this step!

    Solas SRZ-CD-15/22R here: http://www.4-tecperformance.com/inde...oducts_id=2048

This all assumes you are keeping the stock ECU, keeping rpms just below 8040rpm, and continue using the stock 87mm venturi nozzle.

This impeller will give you better hole shot and acceleration, take advantage of the 87mm nozzle, and keep you off the rpm limiter.

You should also get rid of the stock air intake and install the 4" air kit from Fizzle or Riva.

Next, either R&D grate or Riva SS grate. Both keep the ski planted better for increased hole shot and acceleration.

All 3 of this upgrades will get you to 69-70 mph QUICKER, but you will NOT exceed this speed until you re-flash the ECU to bypass the stock limits.

Is slip check in the manual also?
