    UMI steering question

Hey Guys,I have a good friend of mine that i am gonna help install a UMI steering system on his ski....Heres the low down:

    2004 RXP..
    Full UMI steerring system:

    Question is....
Is the OEM throttle cable gonna work with this system???
OR do i need to have him get a different cable???
Do we need any special adapters to connect it to the throttle lever or does it connect to the UMI lever no problem...

I do not have this in my possession,so i cannot look or visualize what it needs....I also do not have the directions or do not even know if it has direstions with it... Thats why i figured id ask the professionals who have already installed this sytem..Thanks guys as always

    Sno.

I know I needed an adapter to hook the stock cable to my Riva finger throttle. I can't see why the stock cable would not work with the umi sytem. "but that's just a guess". It worked fine for my conversion.

You should be able to get the adapter cheaper through blowsion.

You need an adapter for the Cable to finger throttle, as the finger throttles are universal.
One hint. When installing the UMI stem take and lay a towel on the gas tank and then use a rounded file and file down the inner lip on an angle where the stem of the UMI hits the hull. don't need a sazsaw or anything, just use a rounded file and take a little off at the angle of the UMI.
