Nightmare first ride of the season

Well my season couldn't have started any worse.. Was out on the first ride and disaster hit. Was heading back to the launch when my ski shut off like it ran out of fuel or fuel pump died. I pushed the button to try to restart and all hell ensued. It sounded like a fire erupted. I pulled the seat off and apparently accelerated it with more air. The burst of flames knocked me off into the water and all I could do was watch helplessly waiting for fire department to arrive. I'm not sure if fuel line ruptured or what. At least insurance covers the value of it without the cost of mods of course. Not sure what I'm gonna do next..
Here is a pic of what was left.

Sucks but the important thing is you walked away with no serious injuries. The ski can always be replaced. You mentioned that insurance won't cover mods. I wouldn't talk about them but I would definitely think about anything you did to the ski or what could have failed.

Was the same as all last season, just pulled it out of the garage and hit the water. Not sure what failed guessing fuel line clip maybe??
