    Type 14 intercooler water inlet/outlet

I am ordering the parts to make a custom intercooler kit. My question is on the Type 14 intercooler from frozenboost.com it shows the water inlet on the top of the inercooler and the outlet on the bottom. Can I install the water outlet to the water inlet side and the water inlet to the water outlet side? reason why I ask is because I am going to mount the intercooler upside down from how they show the intercooler in the picture.
    like this http://www.greenhulk.net/forums/show...=195904&page=3

but it shows it like this on http://www.frozenboost.com/index.php?products_id=214

You can mount it in any direction. I'm mounting mine vertical so water will drain. On the side it'll hold water causing premature corrosion. But it's totally up to you.

yea that's how I want to mount but on frozenboost.com website it show the inlet on the top and outlet on bottom and the air inlet port facing the up direction. which I am going to have it facing down so the water inlets/outlets will be reverse that's why I was asking

The water should be able to flow either direction. They show the outlet on the bottom so that it is able to drain out. If you had the inlet on the top then it would have problems draining.

Flow direction does not matter on the frozenboost intercoolers where the inlet and outlet are on separate sides like the Type 14.

so what your saying is if I install it how I plan it wont drain out any contaminents? doesn't the water strainer prevent anything getting in there?

When you install it just make the lower port the outlet and the higher port the in. This way it will drain and not keep water in it.
