Any way to drain water from footwells?

Have any of you guys figured out a way to drain the foot wells on our sparks? Other than the obvious of picking them up at a 45 or more lol. I was thinking about putting in a threaded drain type deal that would allow it to drain into the hull when removed but didn't know if that was a good idea?

I just use a big sponge bob as wide as the foot well and just use it like a paddle and push it out takes no time and for the last bit soak it up and squee out less than a minute time for beer
