    73.5 on Kawi 310 , riva plate /r&d intake to 75??

Got 73.5 today on the Kawi , there's a little left in her , was 100% humidity today and had a touch more then half of a tank of fuel & 20-30lbs of gear on board w 225lb rider. 7900-8000 rpm( custom pitch by dave @ impros to lower rpm a bit) Seems like the pump needs more water at top speed , has anyone tried the r&d intake grate with riva ride plate? Open to suggestions , mostly ride choppy water but found some nice spots that aren't bad at all. Wana hit 75 consistently , think it can be done easily with a couple pump upgrades .. Lmk!

Just bought a r&d intake and plate from blackrxp. Will post results after install. But if anyone has suggestions to install thad be great. I know intake has to be level with pump shoe and bolts will be milled down flush and filled. Hopefully this gets me to 75 consistently.

Overfill the bolt holes with an epoxy like a Pro Epoxy 20 then sand flush with the plate and grate, "might " be good for 2/10ths -4/10ths of a mile of top speed (less drag) if your looking to squeeze out a little more..

Years ago guys were looking for every drop of speed they can muster before bigger SC wheels ECU reflashing,Motec and other go fast goodies came out on the market..

Certainly no big cost just a little of your time..

Thanks dave , yeah I do get satisfaction out of that kind of stuff. Will try it out. I forgot what I used on my stock plate and grate. I made sure everything was perfect though , also filled in oem sponson holes and sanded them. On the pump cone i filled in the dimples where the bolts are with silicone and flattened it out with shop rags flat against the cone to get the same exact contour. I like to think this had good effects , either way it makes me happy. thanks again bud
