Thumbs up Another 2000 SUV conversion #3 using a 2003 FX as a donor

I am doing another SUV conversion. This time for someone else.
I will take pictures and video of the conversion for everyone to see how I do a SUV conversion.

I started this conversion on 04/19/2015 and water tested the SUV conversion on 05/03/2015

This is a 2000 Yamaha SUV 1200 Canada model and we will be using a 2003 Yamaha FX for the donor ski.
This will make for a good SUV conversion once finished.
This SUV is in near new condition with only 50 Hours on it.

    Here is the SUV.

I will start by dissembling the SUV and cleaning the hull to get it ready for the transplant.
To remove the engine I first remove the battery and the battery box containing the first extinguisher and then the air filter box . Then I removed the upper exhaust manifold. I then disconnect the supply and return fuel lines and the throttle linkage. Then I removed the engine mount bolts. Then I removed the four bolts holding the electrical box to the bulkhead. Then I disconnect all of the wiring harness including the wires running to the multifunction display. Unhook the water hose from the bottom of the exhaust manifold and any other hoses is connected to the engine. I then lift the engine carefully out of the hull then I loosen the hose clamps on the hose in the rear compartment that is hooked to the intermediate bearing shaft. Then I remove the intermittent bearing housing making note of any shims and their locations Now is a good time to do a quick engine compartment cleaning with some degreaser. Try not to let any water or cleaners seep into the engine mount bolt holes.

I did not make a video of removing the engine from the ski because this should be pretty simple for anyone doing a conversion on the SUV

I have removed the fuel tank and the exhaust parts from the rear compartment and gave both compartments another wash down to get them clean. I have also removed the ride plate and pump from the hull.
We are now well on our way to getting the hull ready for the FX four stroke transplant.
