slip additive for hose customization - Whats best?

Please dont think a I am crazzy but I want to ask what slip additive I can take, that the hoses not render unusable.

I have to mount the hoses many times on / off - maybe ten times or more - to find the right position / way / lenght and angle.

With the last hose that I ruined - I take a lot of vaseline - but I have this feeling, that after touching the hoses with so much vaseline, they never get tight ever again.
I can be wrong... but this one is in the garbage anyway...

Maybe you have a tip for me?

I know for the last time to mount - I can take windex - but for the testing on / off windex is not suitable.

for fit on very good. After 1-2 Min. or later - it is so tight like you take nothing and then you cannot spin even not a little bit.

But I have no windex here in Germany - I am not 100% shure it is the same like our glass cleaner.

silicon hose and oil are not a good mix
you should use silicone grease for test fits
then wipe as much of the grease up you can, before final tightening
any class cleaner will work also brake cleaner works well

Just make sure when you come to final fix everything, that everything is sqeeky clean. Inside the hoses, the solid pipes, everything. If not you will blow a hose off first run and with the aS that's game over for that day's riding.

Best cleaner is brake cleaner. Safe on metals and rubber, so no worries. It dissolves all grease on contact. Make a thorough clean or that Vaseline will cause you a real pain in the ass (ironic hey?).

    Hi hkss!
I have the same problem with the hoses of the fizzle!
I used silicone spray for testing the right position!
But for final position it is better to wipe off the silicone!
Do you have some pictures so far, from your things that you trying to fit?
I have some little problems, to find the right position for the hard tube that comes between the Fizzle and the supercharger!
Let me know when you finished your work and show me some pictures!

    Marc

Once your test fitting is done, no matter what lube you used for testing, I would highly recommend thoroughly cleaning the hoses with Brake Clean to get all the lube off.
