    Ride plate question

    Hello folks,
I have a 2000 gp800 that porposes a lot. I've already shimmed the stock ride plate. It helped a little, but not much.

I'm looking for a gp1200 ride plate as I heard that will help eliminate the porposing even more because of the extra length.

I might be be able to get a hold of a 1997 gp1200 ride plate. Will this fit a 2000 gp800?
im not sure of which years would fit my 2000 gp800

    thanks
    larry

97-99 is the GP non-powervalve hull style. The 2000 and up GPR hull is different. Parts don't interchange between the two different hulls.

Put .100 spacers under the trim tabs.

Shoot, just bought a 97 gp1200 ride plate from ebay. The mounting points look the same.

Also, so, I don't think my hull has trim tabs.

Fill those huge gaps in between your ride plate and intake grate once you find a good plate , may help a little. I had a gp800 a while back , I got rid of it before I fixed the issue your having though .. Good luck

Are you referring to the 1/4" ,ish gap? Fill with some kind of caulk perhaps?
