Is my wear ring / impeller bad? (Pictures)

I had some cavitation (I believe) last year. I'd hit the gas and it would take a while to go anywhere and I felt like I was down on speed a bit. I did put a new motor in however it should be tuned just right. My friend (master seadoo tech) looked at the wear ring and said it was bad and I should be experiencing a lot of cavitation (before I even said I felt that). I believe him 100 percent but I just took the pump off to remove the wear ring and it doesn't seem as bad as others I have seen. What do you think? I am replacing it either way just curious to know if it looks bad to you as well.
Also, how does the impeller look. Should it be refurbished or would it also cause cavitation? It has a tiny nick in it.

I am by no means the Sea Doo expert. However, I was having the same issues last year. The wear ring you show looks worse than mine did. I am sure many would advise to do something about the impeller, but if it were me I would try just the wear ring first. I think you will notice a HUGE difference. Then again... I am no expert.

For documentation, here is the new impeller and results from the new impeller:

There is like little to no clearance with the new wear ring, what a difference, pictures don't justify. If in doubt, replace it.

When I took it to the lake today I thought my jet ski was on CRACK! This made such a difference I decided to keep the jet ski, and since I have done so much other work to it to make it look and run like brand new this thing is so mint. It gets out of the water so fast now and just GOES! Night and Day difference times a million. Words do not justify!

Thanks all. Cya on lake ontario
