    Rxp crankshaft gear replacement

Hi after pulling my motor apart and finding the timming chain had broken and in the process sheared all the teeth on om crank shaft where the chain goes on now i have removed the gear of the crank shaft and re pressed it on the crank as it was undamged the thing id like to know is that after pressing the gear back on the crank shaft there isnt any type of pin or thread to go in im worried after putting everything back together it will free spin on the crank is that possible thanks any help on replacing a crank shaft gear would be much appreciated

That gear is very important. If it is not placed back on the crank exactly how it came off then ur timing will be off. 1 or 2 degrees left or right will throw it off. Pressing it back on should hold depending on your horsepower.
