    Is this jug ok to use?

    Hello, Just wore down a engine(Polaris sl700) and all looks good expect the edge of the jug, does it look ok to use?

    Yeah that shouldnt be a problem. I have a few like that. Definitely need a bore on that cylinder though.

    I have some 700 cylinders that I don't have a use for if you don't want to bore that one. The cylinders are not scored, but I would give them a light hone. PM me if interested, I'll sell one for less than the cost of boring.

    You're not worried about dropping a sleeve with the aluminum peeling away like that? It's only going to get worse now that water has gotten in there and corrosion has started swelling... I wouldn't use that in my ski.

    No not worried at all. That area is not what holds the sleeve in. I have has a few very reputable engine people tell me that is not and issue. Clean it up with a dremel and use it.

    As far as i remember the sleeves have a lip at the top that wont let them drop.

    Post a pic looking down into the water jacket.

    Those are no good. The outer o ring has nothing to seal to.

    I think your eyes are playing tricks on you. I thought the same at first, but look closer and it appears the shadows are making it appear the outer jug is gone.
