    New Here!

    Hello everyone!

New to this forum but not new to PWCs. I've been riding a '97 Yamaha WaveRunner 1100 for some years now and just picked up an '05 SeaDoo RXT a few weeks ago. Boy, is it nice to be in the present now!

Just have a few peace-of-mind things to sort and and some very minor cosmetic issues to address and it'll be ready for this summer! For the price I got it, I couldn't say no.

Any questions feel free to ask!

Quick picture of the new ski:

Welcome. Make sure you replace those ceramic clutch washers with metal washers in that RXT, otherwise they can shred your oil pump and take out your engine.

Welcome! And like Yoyamma said...check/replace those washers before you even put it on the water!

Yup! I did my fair share of research prior to buying it. Already have part is it dismantled, new oil, supercharger rebuild kit, and other odds and ends sitting on my work bench to throw in before I stick it in the water.

This one may have the hollow valves and the oil sensor switches fail easily too mine have. Got plastic bolts connecting the steering and reverse linkage in the back that can break off and sink ya too. These 4tecs just have all kinds of things that can tear up and cause aggravation I wish I had know that before I bought mine. If yours is the higher horsepower one thats the ones I hear break valves the most but it could happen to any of them, be sure and get some crc marine lubricant and spray it down after you flush it and wash all the salt water off after every ride out on the ocean.
