    Mirror removal?

I've seen where a few of you have removed the mirror from the housing to install gauges. What method are you using to remove the mirror 'glass' from the rest of the unit? I want to paint mine, and need to make sure I get coverage inside also.

I used paint reducer and a syringe to get at the adhesive behind the glass. Gently pry the glass once the solvent has done its thing. You will need to keep adding solvent as you pry up. I have gotten 3 out of 4 out without breaking tje glass

Thanks. Is it the ultra thin double sided tape (paper thin), or the thicker foam stuff like you see on the rub rails?

Its a foam backed adhesive. Covers the whole mirror back. Use a slow evaporating solvent or you will just be chasing your tail.
