    Riva BOV vs R&D BOV...Please help

    I have searched and found many different opinions. I have a 2015 FX SVHO and am wanting to add the blow off valve upgrade. What is the main difference between the Riva and the R&D setup. They are around the same price. Is one better than the other? Fresh water rider only. Thanks in advance!

    Go R&D with the Tial. The Tial BOV is a better option as it does not have the failure issues of the HKS which can not be rebuilt

    Didn't R&D recently change from the 50mm Tial BOV they used to sell to an even better 50mm Turbosmart Race Port BOV.

    The Tial BOV;

    The new/better Turbosmart Race Port BOV;

    Both of these options are considered better than the Riva HKS and knock off HKS BOV's

    I would not say the Turbosmart is any better than the Tial. They are pretty much identical. I am sure the change has more to do with markup/pricing than anything else.

    But a piston BOV like Tial/Turbosmart is what you want. Just stay away from the knock off's as they normally have crappy quality which rips o rings and causes leaks.

    Thanks for your input guys. Us "new guys" really rely on your experience. I just purchased the R&D kit from the Greenhulk store. Too bad it does not qualify for the site discount.

    I guess the Riva setup is not worth the money due to the cheaper BOV?
