05 FX HO Cruiser Mods: Riva or R&D?
I have a 2005 FX HO Cruiser and am looking into some mods to push her to or over the 60mph threshold.
I have currently looked at the R&D Stage 1 Kit, $918
and the Riva RPM kit, $1213
Both claim a result of 63-64mph @ 10,300rpm.
Does one company provide better quality + performance over the other?
and if the whole kit isn't necessary, which mods are?

I had a 2006 FX HO with the MR1 (35 hours when I bought it). Great ski but couldn't get the top end and acceleration I was looking for. I did the R&D Velocity Stacks, R&D Air Filter, Riva FF exhaust and the Solas Dynafly 14/20 impeller. The impeller made a huge difference in acceleration compared to the stock one which was damaged on the edges ever so slightly. Top end was 60-62 depending on conditions. Julio has a great thread on his FX HO build, search it, I learned a lot from it. As he stated....don't buy a kit. I would recommend the mods I just listed and send your ride plate to Jim to have it cut.
