Help finger throttle problems
I just finished installing my UMI steering system and a finger throttle. Now there is waaaayyy to much slack in the throttle cable. I have tried adjusting it on both ends but there is still about 3/4 inch of play. Any ideas as to what I did wrong?????

I had this problem as well. You need to get the UMI throttle cable drum, it allows for multiple cable settings. I know for a fact blowsion has them. Tightend that bad boy rite up! BTW WELCOME TO THE HULK!!!

You did nothing wrong.
I've seen guys change the brackets for the cable.
Change the drum where the cable attaches.
Bring the cable adjustment all the way to the very end.
Add bushings to the mounting point so the cable mounts further back.
Let us know what you devise.

Ok, so the beautiful weather caught up with me today. I wanted on the water and was able to squeeze out just a little bit more on the adjusters. I can now get about 95% throttle movement at wot. The responsiveness sucks, but it will do till next week. Still havn't figured out a fix. Don't feel like spending the 30 bucks on a adapter.
PS If you don't have a UMI/HotSeat steering system. HOLY CRAP, you are missing out!
