    Question Roofing cost

Does anyone in here have any estimates of what roofing is costing in your area per square?

i'm trying to remember...a square in this industry is 9x9? i can't remember... at least siding is something like that.... siding squares and roofing squares the same?

anyway... just had our roof done last year, except i have no clue how many square it was.... estimates we got were for the job, not by the square... well in their minds it was probably calculated by the square but they didn't tell us the price in that format...

it was $3500 bucks tho if i remember correctly for a 30 year architectural roof ... pulled up with two trucks and about 12 illegals probably... they were in and out and cleaned up in probably 3 hours max ... that included the whole house which is pretty tall and 3 different levels on the roof, and the portico over the front entry, and the shed

    10x10 is a square
we had 4500 square on our roof redone. But it was the old school shake roof with slats underneath & the plywood was a big factor in our cost. 10G's total for tear off & put up.

I don't recall the cost per square but I can ask him tomorrow. This is in So cal BTW

ok... i was able to find on this county assessment website we have in NY the info on my house... it has all the blueprints and floor plans and aerial views and assessment and tax info...

so aerial view..... my house it 45' x 43' .. again, there's the main roof across the front... it's a colonial.. and than on the two rear corners of the house the roof is lower bc the second floor doesn't go over there and there's all skylights... so 3 roof levels. plus the small shed attached to the side of the house, and the portico over the front entry...

OU812 that is correct 10x10 is equal to 1 square which is the same as 100 square feet.

If my math is correct you had about 45 squares at $222.00 per square = 10K does this sound correct? If I am right the estimate I got yesterday wasn't so bad after all down here in Texas.
