Hey Guy's need help with Boost Gauge sender

Hey guy's where is the best location to put the boost Gage sender? I know I saw one on the sight some where but can't find it. I don't have the block off in the intake manifold. I thought there was a spot in the intake some where????

you can hook it to the same place as the blow off valve kit uses

somefun... whille you dont have a 215 HP intake manifold, you can still put it there...

by the way... have you thought about removing the mesh flame arrestors out of your intake manifolds yet?

anyway... the molded cap on the end of the intake manifold at the fronts of the motors... you can also drill and tap that with 1/8" NPT and put the boost sender right there...

same spot alot of us put it, jsut that ur tapping the manifold rather than tapping a block off plate

if u dont wanna go that route... then like jason mentioned, use a port on one of the intake runners like the BOV

Shib where is the screen? I didn't even know there was one in there.... I have two boost gage's on the way for the weekend prodject... There must be some sort of small gain with removing the screen i would think??

    i would think also....

the 215 motors have an intercooler inside the intake manifold... acts as the "flame arrestor" AND intercooler

the 185 motors have nothing but a mesh screen inside the intake manifold to act as the flame arrestor.

the stock intercooler is restrictive bc of both the screen, the inlet diameter and the center support ring.... so if that screen is scrambling air flow or restricting or anything, why not remove it? no proof... as not many people with 185 motors have done immense mods, but i know of at least 3 people with 185 motors that remove the flame arrestor screen out of the intake manifold.

where is it? .... ask 01xdime and ask Red Devil for more info... they've personally done it. I know it's in there, i've seen it, i've suggested to them removing it and pretty sure both guys have.... i think you need to take the intake manifold off and take the throttle body off and kind of collapse the screen onto itself and pull it out thru the throttle body opening...

if it was me... and the tons of mods and time and money you have invested.... i'd probably say what the heck and go the extra mile and get rid of the screens also... piece of mind that they are not giving you ill-effects in performance, whether they are or not i'm not 100% sure.

and then like i mentioned... the boost gauges either drill and tap the manifold where the molded round palate part is... or put it on an intake manifold runner.
