I would go with the 785. As you will get more RPM out of it, There is a small gain with the 780, but you will be happier with the 785!!!!

Hi Keyz, WELCOME to the Green Hulk Forums!!!

How crazy do you want to go with mods?
If you really want to get some more speed, you can always do a 780 upgrade. Let's see psitons, cylinders, manifold, carb work, reeds, CDI, extended pump....................
Or are you looking for some simple good add ons like reeds, reed spacers, CDI, wedge, extended pump type stuff?

Knowing the year model will certainly help.

Look into a dry pipe exhaust sytem too. Easy "bolt on" HP. Do you have an aftermarket intake grate and ride plate? These will help handling and some top speed.

Get a ride plate for sure, this will help handle much better and get a little better MPH. Here's a PSI pipe that is supposed to get 6 HP. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Polar...QQcmdZViewItem

I personally wasn't very good. My team on the other hand did quite nicely in region 2, we won the World Finals 1200 Novice class our first year racing in 97. My Polaris dealership and team was R&R Sports in Campbell, Ca. (look deep, you'll find us LOL)
We had a slough of other State and National titles in the 785 and 1200 classes.
Man did we have a good time in those days!! Thanks for the memories!

You can send your stock heads out to be recut and reshaped. Randy at Watcon will do it for I think $40 ea. $60 ea. if he needs to recut the squish area for oversize pistons. Also check these guys out, they have a whole list of mods you can do. http://groupk.com/p750.htm
