Carb to intake gasket
Do you all put any spray tack or anything on your carb to intake gaskets?

I use spray tack it seems to release well and I do reuse certain gaskets

I clean both surfaces extremely well, apply a little lithium grease and install. Torque to proper specifications.

I second the grease.

I have never heard of using grease for gaskets, but if you guys say so,I will believe it.
I judt got done going through the carbs on an SL1050 I just picked up,and when I was puling the carbs, there was gobs of grease everywhere....and I mean gobs. I can understand a thin film to hold gaskets in place, but I think the previous owner went way overboard.
I reinstalled with a very thin film of black Dow 732
