Need Help, RXP problems, Plug pictures

Guys, Today was my first time out since the RR high boost wheel and the 42lb injectors.

Anyway I had a BAD day and I hope it is not that BAD...

This ski has never had 1 problem, so needless to say I need help at figureing it out.

I idled it on the trailer to warm it up about 3min and then I got on her and idle out about 50yards. I hit the throttle and see ran up then just instantly started bogging and surgeing real bad. Sound like crap. Anyway It took everything I had to idle in.

I got back to the trailer and pulled the seat and I could here it cough and stutter. I couldn't get it to run right.

I never had this problem ever, so I do blame the 42's and mayber rich, but it was 75 today and very nice.

Should I pull the IC and pressure test again?
Should I pull the charger and inspect?

    What do ya'll think?

Here are pics of the plugs.
    Fouled plug?

Any thoughts? I want to work on it tonight as it is my only night free.

And to think I am gonna do a B-kit on the 06.

Ski has 76 hours of moderate use. about 20% WOT. I baby my ski's.
So to have something happen. Well it worries me.

I am thinking it has a fouled plug and is no big deal. I think IUx plugs
are to cool maybe and it loaded up at idle and ... well this happened.

30 hours on the IRD. Plugs.

Austin those plugs look more lean than rich.

The only plus of the three that looks good to me is the middle pic.

What concerns me is the porcelain (sp) color on two of the plugs...they are very white. If I can remember correctly this could be to the plugs being to cold.

The reason I say the plugs could be too cold is....if the plug is not getting hot enough it will not burn fuel and cause the plug to look washed out. Hence the white porcelain.

Well they are the cooler Denso IUX 27 plugs.

I haven't yet pulled the IC to leak test again as I do believe it is a plug problem.

    The SCer is fine.

I have read that the 42's are very rich at idle, so maybe the 5-10min.
idle was enought to foul it?

I'm far for a rotax expert here but in automotive applications a plug too cold will carbon up from the unburn fuel.

Here is a good article on reading plugs.

    http://www.dragstuff.com/techarticle...ead-plugs.html

    I stand corrected:

    • If the base ring has a full turn of color with some spots of heavy dry soot, then jetting is too rich, REGARDLESS, if the porcelain is "BONE-WHITE", jetting is still TOO RICH !!!
    • Do not look at the porcelain to read jetting !!!

    Austin, change the plugs!!!

If that doesn't solve anything put the stock injectors back in and see what happens. Maybe a bad injector?

BTW, you aren't running rich, nor are you lean

My bet is on the plugs!!
