I have heard a few bad things about sbc, can someone confirm this. I need two engines, One for a slx 780 and a sl 750. SBC is the cheapest. I need help, I can build mine, but the cost dosen't compare..

Check here. Granted they will not be the cheapest. You get what you pay for.

SBT? (Sorry Ph20) Some people have had luck with them, but most people have not. Most people on here will agree that they are poor.

SBT might be the cheapest (in more ways than one), and yea, you would probably get one with no issues. With that said, how much is your time worth taking out a bad motor (not to mention lost riding time)?

I am with you. I would not buy one of these. I would do it myself or go to some one like Sharps.

gvn, I can tell you ALL the reasons I'd never put a crappy SBT engine in my (or anybody I know) ride BUT that's been gone over waaayyyy to many times and the list is pretty long.
Just ask yourself why, IF their engines are SO great, they need dedicated people just for warranty issues?
Do you really think that many people can being doing the installs incorrectly or not finding the problems or issues with their craft before installing their garbage engines??
Their employee (Bryan, comes to mind) who offers tech support is kind enough to get on the SBT owned and controlled site (PWCToday) and call the guys who have legitimate problems ass clowns and idiots who don't know what they are doing. Oh did I tell you he was kind enough to do this while hiding behind old members accounts??
Yep, just the kind of business practice I look for in a good solid, reliable company.
Do yourself a HUGE favor and spend the extra bucks, you won't be sorry.

Call jay at Atlantic Powersports and get something you can rely on.
