15/18R VS 15/19R 3 blade on modded RXT

I back to back tested the 15/18R and 15/19R 3 blades on a customers modded RXT yesterday.

With the 15/18R + 2 mm in the trailing edge the best i was able to get was 74.6 and was all over the limiter. We immediately went back and installed the 15/19R + 2 mm and the ski went 77.1 and was still all over the limiter. These 15/19R's are magical

81 mm nozzle on both tests.

On the 77 mph run throttle was only about 3/4 throttle to keep it off of the limiter. I put another mm pitch in it and may try a 80 mm ring.

Goal is 79-80 mph. This ski has no internal mods, just Riva valvetrain upgrade.

If you added 2 mm to the props that would make them
    15/20 & 15/21 right? This must be a stage 3 rxt 'eh?

Is this a stage 3 or does it have a rude charger.

No, tweaking the trailing edge does not change the pitch of the prop. The root angle where the blade meets the hub is still the same.

Stage 3 RXT's only run 73-74. This ski has a Rude Charger and VTS

    Hmm, ok.
So it's a kicker tweak. Nice!

    Jerry,
So what your saying is 15/21 should be a good start for testing then go from there??

What im saying is bending the trailing edge + or - 2 mm does not change the pitch. It's just a "tweak" to the impeller.

Bending the trailing edge +2 mm does not make a 15/19R a 15/21.

77.1, nice... I wonder what the official speed record is for the RXT?
Anyone know? I'll bet you get 80 too...

Jerry, there is something very important missing in this info, you forget to post peak rpms readings @ WOT, type of water fresh or salt, air temp. and % of humidity, yesterday durring our local drag race event all the racers from the east coast were trying to figure out the reason why all their skis were almost 400 peak rpms down from the numbers that they do in a (FRESH) water lake in their local riding area, now i know why us the guys from the west coast beat most of them when they come to race us in our local SALT waters (ALL OF THEM WERE OVER PROPED)

Another thing, i am still waiting for the info that i asked you in a PM a couple days back, tomorrow i am gonna install my digital boost gauge but before i take out my Riva S3 SC to send it to the new owner i am gonna take some boost readings @ 8100, 8200, 8300, 8400 and 8500 rpms, to compare the numbers vs the Rude SC and if by any reason i can't find the info that i am looking for here in your board there is no problem, i have a close friend that is willing to lend me his Rude charger for some testing cause his engine is out of the ski installing new pistons and rings, also looking about how fast my ski was running yesterday....... (all the people there was saying that my moded RXT was faster from the hole than all the others moded RXT'S including a few with the high psi Rude, B kit's and skat 3 blade props SO SHOW ME THE NUMBERS IF YOU WANT MY MONEY!!!, thanks

    Ray

Ray, Im not comparing this skis speeds to speeds of the same type of PWC across the world. The purpose of this post was to share the information of the back to back testing i did of two props on the same day, same water, same air temp and the same humidity. The 15/19R was much faster! Also, i mentioned that the RPM's were all over the limiter on both tests.

Ray, the Rude Charger made 14 psi of boost on this modded RXT at 8500-8550 PSI. Like i told you before, there is no comparrison between the stage 3 SC and the Rude Charger. It's not even close!
