    4" intake & breather hose

What do I do with the hose that was on the 3" riva air intake setup?
Would I put the catch can on it?

Jim, yes a catch can goes on the end of that hose, unless you want to run the PCV blowoff to your supercharger. Easy to make. PM me if you want to know how I made mine.

If you run strictly salt water. Keep the breather hose. If not you will have to shoot fogger into the intake after every ride to coat all the aluminum parts. SeaDoo actually new what they were doing with the breather and lubrication.

well not quite, they could have ran a air filter and prefilter then they wouldnt need the breather hose hooked up to the intake, if salt is getting through a filter and prefilter than we all got problems.

so your telling me salt will get through those two parts? i ride in salt and my inside never has any salt corrosion, granted i wash and use CRC regularly though...my stock impeller had no corrosion on it when i was running a catch can...

I guess thats why they added the 1/8" tube from the motor top cover to the TB
    on the 06 & up. I'm a 50/50 ocean fresh water rider.

Take those hoses off and look in the sc and tb. See the white film,,thats from salt. If the air can get in (even filterred) then so can salt.

I ride brackish water. Gotta lube bro. No way around it,,,or just remove the catch can and go back stock. You then have to clean the intercooler alot. I drilled a small hole in my intake to fit the red straw from a lube can. WD works, but the SeaDoo lube works better. Expensive but good chit. Don`t know what they make that crap out of,,,it sure does stink. All the way down the street.
