My cheap (99% FREE) thru-hull mod...

Got to thinking, and looking ,and playing...

With a relocation of the OEM exhaust outlet, relocation of the OPAS blockoff, a few snips of the old exhaust hose, and a 2.5" pipe with a slight bend in it...BAM! I got a thru hull......

    Sounded good, installed good....

The remaining 2 holes in the one pic were filled with some stainless steel allen bolts...

The OPAS was relocated to the old exhaust hose, taped into postion, marked, drilled, and using all the old hardware went right into place...

The new exhaust hole was cut with a 2.75" hole saw...then the saw itself was wrapped in sand paper, ran through the hole just a few times to enlarge it to 2 and 7/8ths......used a dremel to notch the hole for the fitting, used the OEM gaskets (and some sealer)...mounted right up.

OEM exhaust hose was cut in locations shown, and combined with a 2.5" tube with a SLIGHT 30-ish degree bend, it fit like a GLOVE...

I just didn't want to cut a hole in the back of it...

    What ya think?

I thought running the OPAS removal block-offs instead of the RE block-offs or the Riva Pro-Series killed handling?

    Leaving OPAS on kills handling...
Putting on a normal block-off improves handling...
Adding the RE's or equivialant improves it more...

Combined with a the intake grate and a set of sponsons onit now, I'm good...

We'll be calling his ski "Flipper".
"Wanna go for a bounce?".. LOL.
Unless you're gonna run that behind the RE's or riva pro's, which it looks like you can't, you're in for a sloppy ride.

    You gonna fab somp'm up?
