Dry pipe with a MSD water injector

Talking to my mechanic yesterday, he mentioned the dry pipe was bad for acceleration. After searching it on here, it is confirmed. He mentioned about getting a MSD unit (around $150) that would pulse the water to help it accelerate almost like a wetpipe. I'm setting up my g/f's 750 ski for wave jumping/accel. I will be using a OP head, 785 CDI, longpump with a 12/17, and a bored out nozzle (87mm). Should I keep the wetpipe or go with the PSI drypipe and a MSD unit?

    hehe.
I think the problem is, you're in unfamiliar territory and any opinion would just be a guess?? I never tried it bit his statement is correct, the injected water does change the sonic wave in the pipe.

My dry piped 780 pulls like a raped ape. The problem with weak acceleration was with the 92 models with the crappy cdi and timing curve. The smaller 146mm pump didn't help either with the kind of steep stock impeller. Acceleration is not an issue on a Pro785 cdi, 87mm nozzle, 12/17 swirl with dry pipe. Water injection would help even more and I was going to play with that but never did because my ski ran so well at all throttle positions.

OK thanks for the input guys. The 780 has more HP than the 750 though. I think I'll get the water injector.

The 750 is also ported to provide better bottom end and even mid than the 780. I really doubt you will have acceleration issues. That said, I like the idea of water injection, especially since I never did end up playing with it.
