First time out w/ my 06 rxp-results!!!
Had a great time yesterday at the Lake of the Ozarks. I was mad that I missed everyone for Jet Draggin---had to work Fri/Sat.
This was my first time out on my new '06 rxp. It blew me away how much low-end this thing has. I always thought the 2 strokes were more "snappy", but this ski is a blast in the low/mid-range--just like my xp ltd..
I put 4 hrs on the ski. Mods so far are:
Riva "Pro" Opas deletes
4" rear intake
RR s/c wheel
The wind was blowing like crazy yesterday (20 mph w/ 35-40mph gusts)---horrible conditions for testing. I found a good cove that was shielded from the constant breeze and made a few short runs after I did some easy riding---working my way up to WOT.
Best pass was a 69.7 @ 8140 rpm---then backed it up the opposite direction with a 69.4. The cross wind gusts definitely were not helping---both runs were very short and I couldn't superman at all. I don't think it would have went much faster--I still have the stock prop.
The ski is definitely in need of an impeller (14/19r @ home). I'm going to do the prop, wedge, rideplate holes, and trim the reverse bucket before next time. Hopefully it wakes up a little with time.
Big thanks to Jerry and everyone here for the great info on modding this awesome machine.
