You spray it into your external intercooler so the motor thinks its runing in freezing weather.

Its basicaly like runing your bike in the north pole in january

the good gas still gets to the motor but it disipates a lot by the time it gets there.but mainly just super cools the air.

EMS is a must have to run it though

You need to do some reading. It is not used to cool the air.........it acts as an oxidizer which allows more fuel to be burned.

    Ratman,
In this case, fst4tek is correct. Primarily it is used to overcome heat fade in order to regain 3-4 mph lost in high temp air. For the application that he's referring to, a small nitrous jet is installed into the external intercooler and triggered by a microswitch at WOT. It's not a huge HP adder, it's more along the lines of icing down the manifold at the track.
If you were to run big loads of nitrous it could be directly injected in the intake as an oxidizer. The ECU would have to be programmed to compensate for the air/fuel mixture. The impeller would have to be set up for the nitrous, which would make it a dog when not on the bottle.
