    Fuel gauge not working?

Finally got my 95 slt750 on the water everything looks ok and ran good the only thing was the gas gauge reads empty and the warning light would come on every 5 minutes? Can anyone help or do I just have to keep hitting the set button every 5 minutes.

Check the fuel float in the fuel sender...probably got "gas logged" and doesn't float anymore. This does mean you'll have to remove the sender from the gast tank.

It will be fine. Just a PITA. It is easy to remove the sending unit though. Takes about an hour to remove, clean and reinstall. Definately worth it once you get a chance to do it.

I would go ahead and replace those fuel lines while you are at it.

Will just removing the sending unit and cleaning work. Is there a fuse or something to check?

You need to replace the float which slides up and down in the sending unit in the tank. The fiche doesn't show it but the float can be ordered separately.

You can replace just the float, I think I have one. I'll check in a few minutes.
