Just back from Testing RXT
Oil Level = TOO HIGH (above top bend, oops)
Water temp = 41 degrees
Air temp = car said 36, doo said 38
was rough as balls, cold, windy, i couldn't find a single damn calm spot to let her rip for a mile or something... but i did my best and hugged the marsh where it wasn't as nasty
RPMS were 8150, flickering 8200... with a lower oil level that will be smacked at 8200
i tested previously with just air intake, thru-hull exhaust, and NOPAS... was fine, pulled like a mo fo..
this time i installed my pump wedge and filled the rideplate holes, but never sanded them down yet, haha they protrude lower than the rideplate a little.
out of the hole, the ski is launching out of the water and getting unhooked and will hop like a freaken big ass frog unless u let off the gas. acceleration is rediculous! with a stock prop still might i add.
when the speed gets up to around 67.9 and then hits 68.0 the couch starts porpoising pretty badly and i lose speed and can't get back up there until i let off the gas and then pin it again. then same thing it'll porpoise at WOT.
i do like the wedge installed bc these 3-seaters sit real high with it and don't nose dive with a full tank. when the ski was stock with wedge, it would sometimes unhook at holeshot, now it's EVERYTIME
so i have low end and top end porpoise to figure out...
purchased an ECU and solas 14/19, but not isntalled till it comes back from new updates program with mark

Im sure that thing does jump out of the water. Its only pulling 120lbs extra...LOL

It will bounce like a beach ball with the wedge. i got 2 fitted to my rxp and love it.Keeps coming un hooked on hole shot. But great for jumping waves :P

Time to get rid of that wedge or some of it.

Shibbs: why is your ski porposing? I don`t have that to much with the GTX SC. Under certain throttle and sea conditions do I get it...PR...

My GTX would do it a lil bit if i was up to speed and then hit a small wake. I think Shibby's riding conditions were a lil less than favorable as well.

that's an understatement, lol... it was brutal! plus i have no mats on my ski right now and a bottle of armor-all on the seat. was a ugly site... i coudln't keep myself planted on that thing for shit. plus the 15mph winds doing 68 mph were blowing my light ass off the seat. Need seat cover with velcro.

LOL i'm picturing that right now and it's quite interesting.

Shibby, Skip SC just put in my RXP 2.0 deg wedge, and loves it. It's not too much and not too little. We swapped doo's today and his RXT is pulling real hard up to 8100. water remp was around 71* and air 73* .He hit 69.7 with a full tank and lots of gear.I think I,m gonna let him try my old free flow exhaust piece for a little bit more. You might wanna try out the rxp wedge.
