    96 SLX 780 No Spark

Hey Hey I'm new to green hulk forums. I've just owned my jetskis for a little over a year now and have encountered my first problem on my 96 SLX 780. I have no spark out of all 3 cylinders. Motor turns over good but no spark. I've read on a few forums of what to test for like kill switch (yes key was in), CDI, stator, grounds. But I don't exactly know how to test for it. Am I looking for voltage or resistance. Does the motor need to be turning over when testing for these and so forth... I am a newbie when it comes to repairing these things but a quick learner.

    Welcome to the hulk.
Check out the tech section. You have a Fuji motor all the info is there. Any questions just ask. It looks like the great white north is waking up from hibernation.

I'd also like to say WELCOME to the green Hulk Forums.
The testing procedure is listed under Fuji Electrical, follow the step by step procedures for no spark and you should find your problem.
Good Luck and let us know what you find.

Oh, maybe unscrew the spark plug resistors, cut back 1/8 to 1/4 inch of the wire and screw the connector back into the clean wire.

Thanks for the welcome guys, I've reviewed the tech articles and have figured that it'll be the kill switch, stator, or CDI. When testing for these, how do I go about testing for it? For the kill switch do I cut the black/yellow wire and if i get spark, reconnect the wire and replace the switch? As well for testing the stator do I have to remove the connections from the CDI or leave attached?

I guess nobody caught this. Disconnect the wies and then perform your test(s)
