intake grate - an absolute must with a J plate

PV replacement arms (R&D or SBT) or waveeater clips - will keep the PVs from failing

    Riva D plate

If you have a $600 budget forget the EFI, D-plate crap! Do as philip says! Grate, J-plate, and pump plug kit. To give you an idea you will get probaly 3-4 mph with the plate/grate ... you may get what .1 mph with an efi and d-plate?? the benifit of the EFI is to do: heads, reeds ect. so dont waste your money unless your gonna do the extra mods with the efi!

I agree, forget the D-Plate, you will be faster with the cat anyways. No EFI controller, don't need it unless you up compression or add more air. I would go with Grate, Jims FF Plate, Tab Delete, and if you can afford it maybe a different impeller. That right there should get you going pretty good.

the purpose behind the d-plate is to
    a. run something other than the yamalube
    b. reduce the operating temperature of the engine
    c. eliminate the possiblity of failure of the cat-con

i kept my cat-con in to see how fast i could go with it. i knew it would fail. i already have a d-plate for it.
it just failed at 40 hours. broke apart on me out in the ocean. its like trying to breathe with a sock down your throat. they all will fail.

Nope. You can run the sensor in the pipe.

Dump the catcon.I did a back to back with the catcon vs d plate and the bottom and mid are MUCH better with the d plate! I did this on a 100% stock ski.You might lose .5-.7 on top but you dont want that catcon to fail like SMW said. You want to put safety on your ski before you decide you want to go faster.Like a 1200 grate and seal the pump and Wave Eater clips/couplers are a must.
