    Intake tubing question.

I am getting ready to put Jerry's washers in my SC. I have read of some people making their own air intakes. I don't have a problem with cutting and hacking but I need a breakdown of the parts and where to get them. Or should I just be creative and try to fashion my own? Don't have a clue where to get any of couplers or tubing for the job.
    Thanks

I made a thread a little while back titled '4 inch custom air intake parts list' it should have most if not all of the information you need for materials..

Hey Fizzle, If the 4in hose is soft and plyable and the reducers is silicone, how did you connect the two? Do you put something between them as a coupler or just tighten one to the other? Looks like the are both 4in ID so something would have to be there.

yes, a 4" OD piece of aluminum will have to be put between the reducer and the hose and also between the filter and the hose.

Pep Boys in my area stocks 4" OD polished aluminum "joiners" for attaching filter to hose or other splices.
