    Angry Lossing Water

    Dear

I ran my rxp 06 today for an hour , I have seen the white tank loosing water every

Five mintís , when I put all the parts into my ski , I put the water and refilled

With a Mercedes Benz, water and I have added distillate water too , as u told me

I need to open up the tank cover after 10 mintís to release some air

I did it , after that every five mintís I have to refill the water tank about

1 letters every five mint , ( when I open the cover there is allot of air

Released and very very hot temp ) , fyi I didnít see any water leak around

Or under the engine ,,but I kept added water when the temp is high

    please advice , thanx

Sounds like you have an air pocket, don't run it when it's hot like that...when low on water the temp sender will be very inaccurate as it cannot measure hot air very well. You run the risk of blowing the head gasket or cracking the head if you keep running it when it is overheating. It's a relatively small cooling system so 1 litre low is likely to cause overheating, when you filled the cooling system did it take the specified amount?

Are you using water only? The boiling pont even under pressure is probably not adequate enough and offers no corossion resistance.

thanx 4 the reply ,, fyi , i replaced the stock thermostat to Riva's

in both jetski's ( me & my friend too ) and we have the same problem

after we insalled them , i put a mercedes benz cooling water and i added

distllate water too , and i removed the air too , still having the same

    problem

how can i confirm the thermostat is working or not ?

how can i confirm the water pump performance ?

how do i know if i need to change the head gasget ?

i m really thinking of the thermostat coz, this the only things

we did to the cooling + both jet ski's having the same , overheat

    thanx

You have the hoses crossed on the side of the thermostat.

The hose from the coolant bottle goes to the front fitting on the side of the thermostat. The hose from the oil cooler goes to the back fitting on the side of the thermostat.

Do a compression check, and let us know. Also was the thermostat put in the housing in the correct direction?? ( I don't know if it even can be put in backwards ) just a thought.

Having the same problem on both ski's indicates some type of installation error to me; it's quite unlikely that you have two defective thermostats. A block gas tester can be purchased from a store such as Napa, to check for combustion chamber leaks. If you find evidence of a combustion chamber leak, keep in mind it is the result of and not the cause of the root problem.
