    megasquirt fuel injection

anyone every try this on there 4 tech yet?

the ecu is super flexible and only about $300......

    www.msefi.com

would probably be a ton cheaper than just what the ecu upgrades cost.

by the way what do those ecu upgrades cost?

i spent about 1500 for a whole fuel injection set up on my aircooled bug?

fuel pump, fpr, fuel rails, intake setup, injectors, t/b, tps sensor, intake air temp sensor, coolant temp sensor(oil temp sensor), oxygen sensor, etc!!!

does the stock ecu pull info the map sensor and the tps sensor? cause there isnt a oxygen sensor - right?

i have a post like this going in megasquirt forums

I've heard a lot of good things about megasquirt but never seen it in a 4tec application.

I've thought long and hard about this. Check out the microsquirt too, since it's waterproof. The challenges I ran across were...

    - The stock crank wheel is a 36-2. I believe the MS looks for a 36-1 signal.
    - The fact that it's a 3 cylinder makes things more challenging. I think the spark box would need to be special. The microsquirt instructions say it's good for 2 or 4 cylinders.
    - Who knows what timing would be needed.
    - Who knows all the coil info needed to make it work.

BTW, the stocker is a simple-open loop speed-density system. It just uses MAP and rpm to figure out fueling, with no feedback control at all.
