Longest Open Water Ride?
A group of us are planning a long open water ride in the Caribbean.
We have a 35 foot boat with us and the run is around 60 miles in 4-5ft swells weather allowing.
I recall someone riding down a Sea Doo from Europe to the Caribbean a few years ago with a large boat following along.
Whats the furthest anyone has ridden in open water?

Got a trip planned to circumnavigate around Lake superior this summer and we are quessing that it is about 1400 miles.
I guess it is all on open water, but 150 miles at a time though

About 25 miles, no stops, has been my longest so far. This was done on cold rough water with no wet suit. I was shaking once I got to the other side.
Here is a thread on it:
Just curious, on stretches that long, is it bad to keep a constant power setting, say 5500 or 6500 rpm's for a while? I would stop every 10 mins and idle for min or so...

We frequently do around 60 miles around the Island where we live.
Wouldn't fancy do it on anything other than fairly calm seas though.
