GPR auto bilge pump switch?
I need to install an on/off switch for my automatic rule pump on my GPR. I was thinking about putting it in the battery box area since I always do pre ride checks with seat off before I go out and I it would easy to flip it on for the ride.
I don't really need or want a handlebar mounted switch and I don't mind doing a little dremel cutting to have a nicely fitted switch in the battery box area.
Has anyone tried this before and what kind of marine button or switch have you used, where do you get it and do you have installed pics?

Here are the toggle switches that i use on my dash. You can see several of them.
There are two on the right side to control the front lights and back lights.
There are three on the left side to control the on/off of the MSD Ignition, The Depth Finder and the (2) Bilge Pumps at the rear of the ski. I now have a bilge pump on BOTH sides of the pump tunnel for extra peace of mind.
These toggles are at every Wal Mart in America. The trick to water-proofing them is to use "liqid electrical tape" with a brush. I brushed & coated the entire underside of the switch with that stuff and it's rock solid.
Total cost of switches, dash lights, and wireing -----maybe 30 bucks at the most.
Here are the pics:

I put mine in the same place as Abbot. Very easy to get too especially when you pop the right side off to clearance for the extra air.
I got my switch from west marine. Its a waterproof switch. The whole switch is dipped in plastic Kote. Then has a rubber grommet over the switch arm. Works great and is out of the way and easy to get too!

Thanks for the ideas. A spray on electrical insulator sounds like a good idea.
Nice ski ABBOTT. It has that 50th anniversary Yamaha color scheme look to it.

Fullboogie put a waterproof switch under the seat where the intermediate shaft grease zerk bracket bolts to the rear top stinger bracket. Then he mounted the grease zerk bracket on the starboard side forward battery box bolt.

Just make sure when you buy a switch it is IP67 or higher (IP68 is the best) id they dont give you the 'Ingress Protection' (IP) # then dont buy it!
