Please be careful of jumping fish!

Guy's i have always heard stories of fish jumping up and whacking people in boats or on PWC's. Well, today my wife and i were riding her new RXP at around 60 mph, she was driving when a mullet jumped from the water and hit her in the upper arm. She took a very hard lick and is pretty bruised up. 10" higher and it would have hit her in the face

After this happened its easy for me to see how someone could get knocked out or killed very easily by such a freak accident.

The fish hit so hard that it killed it instantly and dropped down in the footwell. Too bad they aren't worth eating

Seriously though guys, if there are a lot of fish jumping around on your waterway you might want to keep your speeds down.

Sounds like if you ride with your mouth open you could get a good meal between that and the bugs. I hit a dragon fly at 60+ before and it felt like someone slugged me in the vest with a golf ball. Glad Carey is ok.

Ouch!! I remeber last year I was trying to out run a freak rain thunder storm at the lake and it came in and caught me Going through it at 60 mph was horrible! I wouldn't want to get hit by a fish at those speeds!

Pass on my best to Carey. I almost got it from a seagull today myself. Get her right back on that horse when she feels well enough. To get it behind her. Best Wishes, TCR

A certain member of this forum who I won't mention DID hit a Swan at WOT. He broke his nose, knocked himself silly, got feathers all over his ski, and hurt his pride. He is alot more carefull now.
