Stock grate and a 97xp rideplate.

i was running 75.6 last year and it was smooth as could be. this year we switched to a RXP pump and a few more HP's and now the hookup and acceleration is amazing but im porpussing bad, making it dam near impossible to get a good GPS speed.. thinking its a combo of trim settings being a bit on the high side and that stock plate and grate...

Stock grate, 97xp ride plate.
P.S. I have a worx grate for sale. Best grate for the xpl.

Yhea, if your bouncing, grab that worx grate above. It will shave a little off the MPH, but it WILL help to keep you hooked.
You can always try and shim the rideplate a bit too, see if you can't get that nose to settle down.

Good luck... I looked for 2 years until I finally got mine (last week).. Racers know that it's like gold. They go fast, so be quick on the reply button..

I got a 97 and almost thought I was ripped off. I took off my 98 and it's the same part number and manufactur date that on the 97 plate...I was like SON OF A B****. Then I put them next to each other on a flat surface and you can see a difference between the 97 and 98...I felt better...

97 plate is a solid MPH faster but the handling goes away. Mine stayed on for only a day. Stock grate is the fastest and the Worx hooks up the best without dragging to much speed off.
I have the RXP pump in mine with excellent results but had to do some prop and nozzle changes. What nozzle did you use? The XPL only has 6 veins compared to the RXP's 10.
