    Need A Little GPR Help!

Well first off I have two things I need help with.

    Ski: '02 GP1200R

    1. I have a set of R&D 1300 sponsons that I want to put on my 1200. Ik now there was a how to back in the day whe nthey came out but I can't find them anywhere..here or the Riva forums.

I think all I have to do is take out the 3 or 4 little bolts on each side of the hull and fill the holes with some 5200 and then drill the mounting bungs flush with the hull and then re-tap the holes? Right?...I'm not sure

So the questions is what do I have to do to make them fit?

    2. I have a set of heads that uses o-rings and when I go to install the heads do I just use grease on the o-rings or should I use something else to seal them up better?

Any help is great cause I have no clue!

    -Jon

I use a light coat of grease to seal almost all of my gaskets on the engine. I do not use it on any of the intake components.

on the early model skis the boss for the sponsons protrude from the hull all you need to do is make this flush to run the R&D sponsons. grind it and run a tap through to clean up the threads you should be good.

You can use a grinder like Bill suggested or use a very large drill bit (3/4 or larger) to dill down flush with the hull. Then run a tap through the threads. This was easier for me and took less time. I've seen a step by step article somewhere but I can't find it now.
