Removing OPAS Block Off Plates Tip

If you want to remove your OPAS block off plates without prying on your hull. You have to remove the venturi or the pump assy. Take off the small block off's first. Use a utility knife blade by itself starting at the bottom and work it under until you have an edge, then take a small screwdriver put it under the edge and pull outwards without prying on the hull. It should pop off. Use a little heat if needed.

After removing the small block off’s you have a straight shot through the hole to the large block off (See picture). I put together two ˝” extensions 12” long (24” total length). Stuck it through the hole up against the block off on the outside, and then hit it with a hammer. I had to use a heat gun on mine for 30 seconds then it took about 10 good hits for it to come loose. Hope this helps!
