If it's out of waranty. I hope you have deep pockets. First off the bat To do it right. You have to pull the motor. Replace the front and rear covers.
two new oil pumps. and misc gaskets and screens.

Sorry to hear that but it isn't fair to blame the dealer unless you asked them to fix the SC so that it wouldn't fail.

I think you must have misunderstood my statement, if I would have known the sc was bad, you think I would have still bought it? I brought it to them to avoid this. But like I said b4 there evidently STILL more cluless than me, and there the experts!

Any dealer with ANY Doo SC expericnce SHOULD know enough to pull the SC to check for damaged ceramic washers. They should of told you the extra cost of such a check beyond a onceover.

This is exactly why I bought a leftover RXP a few months ago. I just sent the SC to Jerry for metal washers.

See if you can do anything legally. Good luck.

I imagine you know a washer is missing because you took the sc off? How did it run when you took it out for a test ride before you actually bought it? How long did you ride it for after the sc went out? You could be okay as long as nothing got past the screens...then you're only out the sc and oil pumps. Better than having to replace an engine.
