    Help with Fuel problem I think

    I have a 97 SLT700 it ran great untill this pass weekend. It idles perfect and it is still getting on top of the water, but it has lost take off and running power. I replaced the fuel filters and the spark plugs. I also checked the carbs out and they seem fine. Spark is great. Help please!!!

    Need to check compression and make sure you are not going into limp mode.

    what is limp mode. compression is good

    SOme of the SLT's and other craft will go into a limp mode if oil, fuel level, or temp is too high. It limits the RPM of the engine, so you can limp back to the dock.

    I dont think that is it because it still is acting like its trying to break out of the what feels like a restrictor. How do I fix it if that is it?

    Have you checked your jet pump area? Check intake great Impeller and housing for crap nicks etc!! Ropes, Clams, Rocks, Lump Fish, Brown Trout, Lanyards etc:::

    How are the pump stator bearings? With the plugs removed can you spin the motor buy hand? I am just trying to rule out things.

    The bearings that hold the impeller. Remove the drive shaft guard and see if you can spin the motor freely.
