Exhaust Hose loose ! Anybody else in the crew ?

Just got back from my second ride on my Ultra. Almost 3 hours on it so far. I was on the way in to call it a day, and 300 yrds from the dock my ski shuts down. I made it back by taking the seat off, and it basically limped back. Sounds like another exhaust hose problem. I took it to the dealer, and they had a good idea of what needed to be done. They also said that the 'rookie' tech guy didn't check all of the clamps and screws in the engine bay. They're taking a look now. Looks like I'm in the exhaust hose crew.

Yup, just ask HYNES. I warned him and told him to check the clamps himself. Of course don't listen to the Seadoo owner and his chit came loose the same way. I hope the dealers are taking care of this when they setup the skis now. Good luck guys. MrSxy PM me when you wanna ride man!

Happen to me also. The ultra had about 5 hours on it and the crossover hose came loose on the 2nd waterbox. The clamp must have been loose...I wish kawi used the same style clamps that my GPR had on the exhaust; they seem more heavy duty.

This popped off hose happend on almost 50% of Ultra 250x . due to their high power torque back pressure. I think all Ultra 250x buyers should mention this to your dealer do check on second muffler hose before you pick up the ski. My ski hose popped off at 2 hours and 3 miles away from the shoreline. Lucky I ride with 2 friends, they towed me in.

Easy fix for this problem, get the Riva exhaust bypass set up, it completely eliminates the second water box and gives it much better sound.

Can't someone send a friggin memo to the dealers??? Damn!

I'm about ready to buy a pair of ultras, and I continue to read about this problem. Makes me wonder if they'll forget to put oil in them. WTF?

Such a cool ski, but really makes you wonder...
