Somerville Supercourse Races
Anyone going to the Supercourse races this weekend?

I'll be there,,,,, but thats probably no surprise to you Probably just for the day though.
Ya'll keyboard racers ( ya, ya, I know, I am one too ) need to come on out and cheer on Franko's boy. This will be his second race. He was on fire at the first race, cant wait to see him light it up again
Should be an interesting race in ProAm, I hope the RXP's can take it back from the 250's.

Looking forward to it Jeff. The 250's sure have made the races more interesting haven't they. I just hope Gabriel does half as well as he did last time. Look forward to seeing some GH members out there.

Awful conditions. 30 mph winds and whitecaps. But the races were fun. Ultra 250's did well again. They are hard to beat in the Supercourse format. 1st and 2nd in pro-am and first in novice stock. My son did well in only his second race ever on his RXP. He lost his goggles on lap 1 and got thrown off trying to make a pass for first place in the last 5 minutes, but still managed to get third overall and first in his class.

Here's a pic of my son's dismount. He was just heartbroken after the race. He and the Ultra in the pic (Alex Gonzalez) were about a minute ahead of the rest of the field. Because of the conditions, it took over a minute to get him back on his boat. That cost him second place

Everyone missed it (glad I didnt )
Gabriel waxed everybody off the line,,, bad ! I cant belive he had the lead - feel back to second (that must be when the goggles came off)- then took the lead - then feel back to second again - then was gaining ground and looked like he was getting close to make a pass to take back over and got pitched. That was a nasty pitch too, I thought he was done. He got back on the boat after a few other riders pasted and he got right back in it, passed a few and still took 3rd over all. GABRIEL DID ALL THIS WITH NO GOOGLES SINCE THE FIRST LAP !
That boy of yours Franko is going to be something else Going to be exciting watching the 2 Gonzales boys battle this year

Thanks for the kind words Jeff. But I must add that Alex (red Ultra) is a darn good racer and is going to be very difficult to beat this year.
