Stage 1 + RR impeller results!

I'm very happy with my results today!

I think I found why my ski has always been slow and low-reving compared to most. When I got it, it only ran 64.5 mph at 7900 rpm and, mod for mod, gained, but didn't go as fast as others I read about. Anyway, the trailing edge of the stock prop was bent on 2 blades, as much as 1/8", due to FOD. After reading about how much difference 1 mm makes, I tend to think that 1/8" was hurting performance.

    ANYWAY. . . with the following mod's:

    Riva Grate
    Riva 2 deg Wedge
    Riva 3" intake
    Rotax Racing Impeller
    Solas 15/20R Propeller
    No nose cone
    Rideplate holes filled
    Reverse bucket trimmed

    L temp: 82
    E temp: 84

    I'm 190 lb and with 3 bars of fuel I went 73.3 then 73.4.

I ran it for a while to get down to 1 bar of fuel and went 74.0.

RPM's were 8050 with an occasional flash to 8100, so I think the 15/20 is pretty close.

Many, many thanks to GreenHulk, OU812, Sundance, yellow jacket, and the rest of the community for the parts and advice/information!

Note that I do not have skegs or a 4" intake and I'm still running OPAS.

    Mike

Interesting...so your running the stock IC and no 42lb injectors.

Mike--Get a four inch intake and Jerry's skeggs and you will be at 75 to 76 MPH. You will have to tweek your prop then too. Good luck.

    Thanks, guys!

blowbyu, yes, it's the stock injectors, computer, and intercooler. I'd like to break 75 mph safely like that. I'll consider a slight re-pitch on the prop, a 4" air intake, skegs, NOPAS, or just wait until cooler weather this winter to get ther.
