    03 Xlt1200 Rpm

I just recently purchased a 03 XLT1200. I took it out today for the first time. Fresh gas, new plugs. Ski ran 44 mph at 5800-6000 rpm. This seemed awful slow. What should it run RPM and Speed? What could be the problem?

If you swapped plugs already then try a compression test

Are you using a GPS or just the display panel?

That is slow, too slow. I just bought an 01 Xlt 1200 and it ran 58 mph from what the ski said and 55.1 mph on the GPS. Something is wrong if you are running atleast 11 mph slower.

Now what's wrong and how to fix it, I am the wrong person to ask. I'm a newbie to being a ski owner.

Ski display, although it does seem slow. Slow out of the hole also.

Ran compression test when I bought the ski in December. Do not remember what the numbers were but all cylinders within a couple psi.
