    sl 900 electrical board question

I am reinstalling my stator on my sl 900 in the black box i have a wire that has a spade connection on it, and it is not connected to any terminal. I think upon opening the box it pulled off. This wire is tan in color as close as i can tell. It goes out of the box with a black wire in a single grommet next to the stator wires. My question do i assume (yeah i know the saying... ha) that the wire goes with the tan ones on the terminals marked tan? just want to make sure i do this correctly and not blow any fuses if i dont have to. Thanks a bunch ahead of time to all you out there!

It will go to the board and just put it on any spade marked tan (If you're sure it's tan that is).
As I recall that's the wire from the MFD to the temp sensor??
So there should be two wires going to tan.

1996 so it shouldnt go there. good thing i didnt hook it up yet. The wire comes out of the top of the box in a grommet with a black wire. the wire then goes towards the middle of the motor?

Yesum, hook it up. I'm wondering if somebody was having an overheat issue or something of the sort and disconnected the line?

i am wondering the same thing... just bought the ski 2 months ago with a bad stator in it. fixed stator anyway I did notice that there is not a temp sensor in the cooing "rail" above the clyinders just a plug and the black wire has an eyelet that you hook directly to battery neg. for power everything. Some one must have had a over heat issue ???

if i hook that wire up to the other tans, and there was a over heat issue previously, and they disconnected the wire , what should happen now that it will be hooked up?
